Another take…

“As I part ways with Norwich City, I want to speak candidly. I came here with a clear vision and high expectations — not just for results, but for standards, discipline, and a shared commitment to progress. Unfortunately, that commitment was not consistently reflected by all within the dressing room.

While there are players here with great talent and potential, too often I saw a lack of urgency, accountability, and unity. At this level, quality alone is not enough — there must be a collective desire to improve every single day. That mentality was, at times, missing.

This is a proud club with passionate supporters who deserve more. I hope my departure serves as a moment for reflection. Change must come from within if Norwich is to return to where it belongs.

I leave with respect for the club, its fans, and those who did give everything — but also with the belief that honesty is necessary for progress.”
