I'm just being grumpy

because the unpredictability of the game is being stripped away.
You can find the holy grail - be it recruitment (moneyball), tactics (Ramsey & Pep) or just plain cash (Sunderland 1940s, Blackburn 1991-5, Citeh & Newcastle today) but everyone eventually catches up.
In my (admittedly middle-aged) lifetime I have seen ManU, Spurs, Citeh & Villa in the second tier, but I cannot see it happening again.
And I am not happy
