the key takeaway among all this is

not dwindling russian resources and they truly are (see the panic driven attacks on civilians today) nor ukraine ramping up their own rearmement with help from the eu and in spite of the disgraceful abandonment from the 🇺🇸 but the rapid development of ukrainian military manoeuvre warfare tactics, poles away from soviet mired in the mud cold war doctrine that russia sticks to and the 🇺🇦 have taken nato defensive/offensive military doctrine and speedballed it. fast dual brigade attack groups doubled or tripled up but less lumbering than nato divisional based top down formational time thieving methodology in the face of 125 years of collective military management history. it's like playing out from the front as it were. commanders on the ground are empowered to make key decisions dictated by the general situation on the ground and are not largely hampered by politicians and generals. this allows the commanders to command and the politicians to politic. ukraine have taken traditional western military doctrine and turned it on it's head and it's pretty fantastic.
