I think he’s right. It isn’t entertaining. Sometimes it reminds

me of basketball. You can’t properly tackle anymore, the offside rule (well where do you start, f****d if I understand it). VAR is the most ridiculous inclusion to the game, stifling spontaneous celebration and s**thousery instead of being clamped down on is affectionately known as “game management”. I agree that football in the past also had its boring games but compared with modern day it was definitely more exciting.
