I thought we looked far too rigid in formation yesterday

but where other teams are playing a bit more freely we seem to be encumbered by the constraints of need to stay in position.

I also think Crouch is inhibiting the way we play, he is an easy option for the long pass up field (I'll not say hoof but it is close), and Gerrard and Beckham esp need no excuse to try a 40 yd pass. He seems much more comfortable with the ball in and around his feet playing little short passes but its early hopefully a change in style will come now we have qualified hahahaha
