Seems to be a growing narrative that "Heathrow has one point of supply". This just isn't true.
Heathrow is supplied from multiple grid supply points and 5-6 separate primary substations, only one of which is supplied from North Hyde. The operators of Heathrow, and the operators of the grid around Heathrow (SSE) arent morons.
It doesn't immediately make any sense why loss of supply at one would require the airport to be taken down. Heathrow also has back up generation on site, which adds to the mystery.
So this is....odd. It's either a perfect storm, of multiple system failures....or, well, something else very specific.
