Caught some of the Forest-Scum game and it's a timely reminder

of what good champs players - which scum have in abundance, at inflated prices - look like in the Prem. Delap and maybe Davies on a good day are Prem players. Hutchinson flatters to deceive and the rest are simply not.

I think they knew this when they invested and had an eye on as strong a challenge as possible next term to go back up again. Risky gamble but idk if upgrading fewer players, but more of an upgrade each time, would work either. Say you just had one each of GK, CB, DCM, AM, F who was actually Prem quality and the rest are decent Champs level players - that's not going to do it, is it. I'd still rather try that than the scum approach mind.

Bit of a conundrum and a multi-year approach might well be the only game in town (Forest are the obvious counterexample, take the points deduction on the chin and crack on...).
