You're trying to suggest that Sheff U and Burnley are somehow the norm if you want to be successful. They really aren't.

Ipswich finished second last season with a worse defensive record than Sunderland in 16th. Southampton went up despite conceding only two fewer goals than Birmingham who were relegated.

There are many different ways to achieve success. This year there happen to be two freakishly defensive sides in the hunt, last year the better teams conceded tons.

Either way, bottom line, the reason we're 12th is because we're not as good as the division's best sides.
