🎙️ Johannes Hoff Thorup's pre-Leeds press conference will take place at 1.15pm this afternoon.

JHT: “We work on the same things, as it is an opportunity for us to work with the next ones. A debut to Lucien (Mahovo) and Elliott (Myles) in Sheffield is a good thing. But are we as competitive as we want to be at the minute - no.”
JHT on team balance: “It’s the hardest part of football to score goals and create chances. Without praising myself too much, I think we are good at doing this. Actually a lot of the goals we’ve scored this season come from similar situations.”
JHT on playing out from the back: “Do you like playing out from the back? I think that’s the first question. What sort of game do you want? When you start as a coach you have to make a decision. I don’t want a random game or a 50/50 game.”
JHT on playing out from the back: “We want a game that we can control, with less duels. It takes a lot of preparation and courage to do it. I expect them to do it at Elland Road tomorrow. We will not be stupid if we don’t succeed a couple of times in a game.”
*JHT states that NCFC have scored 25 goals playing out from the back and have only conceded 3 playing that way.*
JHT on Angus Gunn: “I think the save before half-time was important for us, it could have changed the approach. But I think he could have done better for the first goal. I hope, and that’s what I see from him, that he’s eager to learn and take the next steps in his career.”
JHT: “If we look at Leeds they are up there in the offensive and defensive stats, so it’s the toughest test for us now.”
JHT on underdog tag: “No, I hate it. I would like to step into that game tomorrow as favourites.”
JHT on Daniel Farke: “I can only see the fans are supporting us. We had 2000 at Sheffield United, they can see we are in a situation where we struggle at the moment. I think it’s also fair they have expectation of us. The story with Daniel here was similar.”
JHT on Norwich fans: “You cannot underestimate how big it is as a club to have support from the fans. I try to be as open and honest as I can to keep them on board (the fans).”
JHT on DubsMedia "I am not in charge of getting you a new bike to get to Colney, nor do I know what is growing in the vegetable patch duting January"
