… but there are reasonable grounds to believe that the Orange One might have had a go at him anyway. Hence the pre-emotive pardon.

I can see a lot more justification for that than I can for Biden pardoning his son back to 2014 🤨 or pre-emptively pardoning the rest of his family 🤨🤨

The US presidential pardon system is completely bonkers. Imagine a Conservative Prime Minister coming in and pardoning all the people convicted for the summer riots. I don’t know why they think this is a good idea, it shows a total lack of confidence in their justice system
