that was because of floodlight problems ....

if i remember correctly the mains feed to the lights failed but the diesel back up generator got them working , but FA rules said you had to have a back up supply at Kick off , which was being used to run the lights , so the game couldn't start

If the mains feed had failed after kick off the game could continue using the diesel back up generator
