three coats of wilckens boot & yacht varnish

absolute stunner of a mirror glass gloss finish on my staircase handrails and turned newel caps. mention in dispatches also goes out to progressive meticulous hand sanding with the aid of 180-220-240-320-400-600-800-1200-1500-2000 grit sandpaper that did the donkey work prep that ensured wilckens product was able to perform to its peak potential. three coats of boot & yacht varnish sure does light me up first thing in the morning and last thing at night now.

so yeah, wow, hello 2025 i now own a daily morning and night feel good factor and adios vamos 2024, your badly painted handrails and newel caps no longer haunt my daily existence. i can now attend sports fixtures etc with amazing tapas in guilt free perfect alignment.

*footnote* full disclosure: i only met my staircase handrails and turned newel posts 18 years ago, i realise that a lot can happen in the next 7 years so i am guarding against complacency lest some less than amazing tapas gets sent my way.
