I mean they're quite wide categories

So, saying that you don't like art is a bit like saying you don't like sport.

(it's not all pretentious).

We're absolutely surrounded by it (there's art in design...).

On the restaurant front, I'd totally agree... Except that the only time I've ever eaten at a really really really posh place (2 Michelin stars, a close friend's wedding) the staff were absolutely lovely in helping me enjoy the evening and also entertain/engage my kid through the 10 tasting dishes over 6 hours.

The food was lovely - the care that they took of us as guests was exceptional. As a single parent I can't underplay how much I appreciated it.

Have also had some mediocre meals at places with pretentions to grandeur - not interested in that sort of thing.
