Why is it bleak?

The point of a football team is to provide some entertaining for us to go and watch as fans. I would say the vast bulk of games this season (at least at home) have provided an entertaining experience worth attending. Promotion is great when it happens but it isn't essential to the match going experience. Helps I guess that I don't really hate Ipswich. I'm in football to support my team, not to hate other teams (well, except for the Big Six Euro Superleague teams and their greed who are far more the 'enemy' of teams like us than Ipswich are)
