But I disagree on intent. Yes, I’ve seen the Norwaay
footage that shows his arm moving, but I don’t think he was doing it with the intention of whacking the kid in the face. Excessive force? Probably - but they are the most pathetic cheats in the league, so who actually knows?!

I also disagree a bit on VAR - intent is subjective and that was key to Duran and pedro. Different people will take a different view, as we have on McLean. Inevitably situations that look similar will have different refereeing outcomes as a consequence.

Only the player involved actually knows what the intent was.
