the law should be applied with equanimity across cases regardless of if they are high profile or not. otherwise it is a two tier justice system which is by definition, unfair.

seems a bit odd that you would advocate that position given your stance on the application of the laws of the game vis a vis football and var.

granted sentencing based upon mitigating factors is a totally different animal, but the application of the law should and must be equal. really suprised that the cps were bonehead enough to bring up the high profile nonsense as well as a factor in their decision making process. just apply the law to the case ffs. leave the judiciary to make the judgement call.
