taking oiur youth players to away gams on the bus with the first team.
Saturday showed Erikssons folly for precisely what it was. he needed to replace owen but he had nobody to do it with as he doesn't trust Walcott. He has loooked out of his depth in the friendlies he has played and my mate who is a sports journo in London tells me that all his colleagues out in Baden baden who have been watching England train say he looks totally out of place there as well.
Other than that the similarities I can think of are - tactically naive, fans and players can see the problems with the team well before he can, sticks rigidly to his formation for ages before finally trying a vartaition far too late, picks his favourites all the time, encourages a defensive midset that stops us from playing positively when we need to and his team spent 90 minutes on saturday lumping long balls up the pitch at Crouch whilst totally byepassing the midfield.
