Well I’m not sure. He was definitely worth the fee in my opinion but

whether through trying to use him against his strengths, or some other reason, he’s been ok for Villa but I expected him to set the league on fire and get sold for 9 figures to one of the top 3 or 4 clubs in the PL or a big one abroad.

The injury is not so relevant as am assessing his impact there before he was injured. At this stage I think it’s make or break. Will he be as good post injury? Willa new manager unleash his full ability? He needs to do it soon or he’ll just have been another enigmatic premier league player nobody except us will remember in 15 years.

We sold him at the height of his value. And that’s why I include him.
