My client did not intend to permanently abscond...

...as evidenced by his piss poor efforts at escape & evasion. He was merely testing HMP's equally piss poor security measures. It would surely be too embarrassing to concede that the prisoner *escaped* in such a comedic manner, so perhaps we can all agree that this regrettable episode simply didn't happen?
