My thoughts on todays game...

First half I thought we looked confortably in control of the game, kept pocession well and created a couple of chances. Second and it all went to pieces, for the first 5-10 mins we managed to keep the ball relatively well but after that whether it was the heat or we lost concentration we couldn't hold on to the ball if our lives depended on it. I also thought we had far too many speculative long range efforts, probably because of the light ball, which in some cases we could have retained pocession.

One more thought Joe cole had a top game today, and could be a pivotal player in how far we go. Though having said that for 55 mins all 4 midfielders looked good. I don't blame sven at all for taking owen off, I would rather we had him fit for the later stages, more worrying is the lack of options when he does go off as Sven doesn't want to throw Walcott on for any longer than he has to.
