The IRA was a much easier problem to fix tbf

Israel is surrounded by states sworn to eradicate its very existence, who spend billions trying to achieve exactly that. It’s very depressing. They’ve hated Israel since it was imposed on them in 1948, and still hate it. I used to think that two states was just obvious, but I now think that if a Palestinian state was set up with open access to the world, within 20 years Israel would have a fully armed (by Iran and Russia), fully hostile state right on its borders and it would all kick off again.

Maybe it would work if there was a UN controlled buffer state between them??? But can’t see the UN committing enough troops to make that effective

So they’re just trapped in a revenge logic spiral. Desperate.
