The 'England manager should be English' argument is a bit binary.

Actually, I *do* think it would be nice if he were, but there is such an incredible dearth of realistic candidates and that is a bigger issue.

Potter is holding out for a club job apparently. Howe is a bit... meh - but after them? A black hole.

The FA should have been grooming a candidate through the age group system. Maybe they were with Carsley.

But that's gone up in smoke, so here we are.
