Recent signings vs that Premier a league lot.

Was just thinking. Obviously Sargent then and Sargent now are two different players. But then I thought about the comparison between that transfer window and recent signings. I know we are in a lower level now but that might help development.

I guess the closest player we have to Rashica is Sainz. I think Sainz is a far better player, with the caveat that he does have that unpredictable explosion in him but hey that makes him more fun to watch. Until it doesn’t.

Tzolis and Placheta both looked very isolated and lacking in confidence. Crnac stated the same. He’s still a little that way but he’s slowly working in to the team and I think he’s already shown more flashes both attacking and defensively than either of the other two did with us.

I don’t think Slimane had a great game against Leeds but he looked better in all respects to Gilmour. I’d say he was probably closer on ability to Lees Melou.

And then compare Gordon to Ramsey, Marquinhos etc and Doyle and Cordoba to Kabak.


Given how most of those players (Placheta aside) have really pushed on since they left us, I think it really bodes well for the future of this crop can keep developing.
