got an email today off of scottish power (!) offering me 100 pound credit not to switch

why am i buying scottish electricity is my main concern it seems a bit of an environmentally crazy to be getting my electricity shipped all the way down here from scotland surely there must be some cheaper electricity in east anglia. sort it out martin lewis.
