I think your problems stem from the manager not knowing how best to use him rather than the player himself.

If we had three good solid midfielders then Hucks could have licence to play as a roving striker - his best position in my opinion.

We started playing him on the left because of an injury to McVeigh I think, though could be wrong. It was an experiment which worked so well he stuck with it - but up front, which is where he'd played for the entirety of his loan spell, he scored about 8-9 goals.
