if David BEckham were playing for someone in Spain that had been relegated , would Sven and teh press say fair enough old bean , keep going in the spanish second division that will be fine - of course not they would be in uproar - and why should the Danish manager not try and influence teh Danish Captain - he is just looking after his countrys best interests
