that sob story about a family wedding is a load of pitiful crap. Why not give them to someone then. He's sick at not being able to go (thanks to a wedding which spookily arose in the few days between him making ticket allocations and now) but quite by coincidence he finds he can make a nice mint by flogging them on ebay. Gives you a warm feeling inside...
