But for Sven to suddenly change to a midfield lacking Frank Lampard and putting Owen Hargreaves in instead would read like a statement of negativity against what will be relatively poor opposition in the earlier stages.

I'd rather teams were afraid of our attacking prowess from midfield, rather than realise that we have an anchor man in there, but he's a f**king waste of space like Owen Hargreaves.
