they were good warm up games for the group but not for the cup overall

England will ease through the group - probs 7pts...top it and then beat Poland/Costa Rica/Ecuador - but the QF against Portugal and semi against someone like Holland - then England's current tactics will be exposed like the last 2 majors. So pants is making a fair point. yes England played well today but It's a bit like Norwich beating a non-league side, doesn't really prove anything.
