Good luck Simon - hope he enjoys it more than my son did !

I waited until he was nearly 8 - ten years ago - for a cold December game against Swansea. We missed both goals cos someone stood up in front of us for their opener and he (we) were in the toilet when Hooper scored. We went back for a 0-0 v West Brom the next season, left just after half time cos it was freezing and a drab game and that was the last time he went...
But despite years of barely a nodding acquaintance with football, he seems to have developed an interest in the game in the last year or so and talks about "us" winning games. He wants a ticket for the play off final if we get there.
It's been a slow burn but i think we can now count him as a "fan" 😊 Anyway, must go i've got something in my eye...
