I had to google what a subarachnoid hemorrhage even was, blimey is all I can say it must have been an awful ordeal to go through, massive respect to also get back to your best and achieve what you have off the back of that.
London I was lucky with the ballot this year, I have spectated the last 10 years and have always wanted to experience it from the other side. Now with 6 days to go I am not so sure!
I ran Manchester last year and went in off the back of an injury and no running the 4-5 weeks before. I finished in 3:13, but my splits were 89 minutes and 1:43ish and I really collapsed after 30km. That was my first marathon, so lots of lessons to take from the experience.
This year I had a small niggle in Feb but otherwise going in to this weekend feeling reasonably confident in my fitness. Unsure what to aim for, I probably could/should have done a race in the build up to give myself a better idea of where i'm at pace wise. I think setting out around 4:20 and then seeing how I feel with 10 miles out may be how I approach it - at least the weather looks ideal so one less thing to worry about.
