Well its a combination of factors

In some of those games we had Duffy (who i think is the best of the actual CBs) or Kenny at CB and we looked a bit better.

Some were against crap sides.

In some we did not sit back as much and retained more threat.

In others we went ultra defensive and put 10 men behind the ball for 90 minutes.

My main point though is that what appears to be Wagner's preferred tactic for protecting a lead (taking off a striker (usually Sargent to rest him), putting Barnes up front and sitting deeper to try and crowd the box and hit teams on the break, is a tactic that exposes the weakest area of our side and it has costs us now on a number of occasions. I don't understand why he cannot see this but then i also don't understand why it took him two months of losing to realise he needed to adapt earlier in the season either. I think he is very, very one dimensional in his thinking.
