a slow news day?

Chris Lakey's piece about dodgy transfers -
"A newspaper report said that..."
"According to a report in a national newspaper..."
"West Brom are not suggesting..."
"The Daily Express claims..."
"The interview process... was likely to involve..."
"Quest's visits...were believed to have included... some time between May 2 and May 5..."

Reads just like a classic piece from a red-top, hugely short on fact and massively reliant on conjecture.
