Transfer Supremo

Norwich always seem to struggle to sign players during the summer. We keep hearing that lots of work is going on behind the scenes etc but nothing ever seems to transpire before mid June at the earliest.

This could be for two reasons:

A. We don't like signing anyone and pay them just to sit on their backsides for the summer.

B. Nigel and Neil are just not very good at it.

If it is the first then I have nothing but contempt for that approach. If it is the second, why don't we appoint a kind of transfer supremo who can take care of this for us? Nigel gives him his targets and off he goes. A kind of transfer consultant if you will who can also double up as a scout.

I fear that my first assumption is nearer the point though.
