Although a big part of the problem is his massive ego, and this should have been part of the multi choice. He was so busy thinking about how he could show off about what an amazing an inspirational leader he is (how many lives he's changed for the better, how he and he alone took some dregs and turned them into fine upstanding young men....) without for a moment thinking about what he was actually saying beyond that, how it was clearly racist and, even if he had listed five white players (which he didnt) how it would still have been offensive to those young men and their families.

Its all a bit David Brent - s stupid, show off, racist David Brent.
