It was an interesting day

The quotes appear, the obvious racism gets traction, mums and Kick It Out heavyweights appear on the scene and you sense a universal *uh oh* at Pink Un towers.

Fascinating watching it play out, and Connor Southwell has admitted it was a difficult day.

Here's where I'm at with the episode...

I can totally understand why and how Webber wasn't pulled up at the time. Not easy to suddenly create that confrontation, and Paddy probably just noting things down with half a mind on the next question etc.

The problem is when the dust has settled, it's the next day, and the story is written up. The complete absence of scrutiny at that point is poor, poor, poor.

The Pink Un is now getting criticised in the national press across several titles - and they really should have had the nous to see what was coming over the hill.

They've brought it on themselves.
