From what I heard

Fortuna have the option to buy, and we’re considering triggering it and then immediately selling him for profit to one of the Bundesliga teams who are interested.

So essentially we won’t benefit additionally from his success this season unfortunately.

But he was rubbish in premier league, then average in Dutch top division, then poor in the championship, and now good in the German second division. None of that tells me he is going to be a success at a top league anywhere so may as well sell rather than go through the same dance again.
