Agreed but....

some of the costs are fixed.
Plus the pricing pressure might be on the higher level talent.
Lower level/cheaper talent may stay constant.

The market means a player is only worth what someone is prepared to pay.
With less willing buyers it cant be good for clubs like Norwich.
