Can be lots of reasons. Good example is Stacey - he actually did

deliver an end product in our first few games. Then Sarge was injured, and Sainz wasn’t fit yet, and his end product dropped.

It’s quite possible that he simply overthought in the final third because he wasn’t as confident that Idah or Barnes would be where Sargent would be.
