Ford no pundit or commentator read the laws of what constitutes a red card

I may be missing something and apologies if I am but surely the red was for serious foul play or violent conduct. If you read the laws what he did comes nowhere close to either. It’s a joke if a decision. Sticking your leg in the air and not moving it is not a red card offence.
