I gave you my mathematical reasoning why it doesn't make sense.

It should be obvious that over a 10 game spell a number of factors come into play.
The quality of opposition can vary considerably over a 10 game period but over a 35 game period its more likely to even out as you have played every team once and most twice.

I love how you call me a dimwit but don't refute any of the points I make about sample sizes and prediction accuracy.
