well in the case of denmark the judge has the right to overturn a guilty verdict

but not a not guilty one. i guess like in the US judges can set aside a jury guilty verdict if they deem "no reasonable jury" could convict based on the presented evidence. the reasonability or not of a jury in such a case might be tested on appeal i guess.
