the jury:murder trial last night on channel 4 *spoiler*

two separate juries both witnessed the same trial unbeknownst to each other (restaged verbatim from the court transcripts by actors). both juries came up with different verdicts and it all distilled down to a battle of personalities in the end based largely upon past personal experiences, opinions and blinkered minds over facts. even though the judge said in his summing up remarks that the jurors must not be swayed by their emotions they all were pretty much. quite a depressing watch. also, pretty sure the actual case was one from norfolk a few years back.

there must be so many miscarriages of justice through this deeply flawed system. the law is an arse.
