That is totally true.....but

If there is one parallel universe I really want to be able to visit, it's the one where we took the money we spent on two left wingers (circa 20m, when both of them proved to be s**t) and instead spent it all on the best DCM we could find.

I know we've all done this to death over the years. I know that I might just be a deluded fan who thinks the real world is like Football Manager. But that season....WE NEEDED TO SIGN A FUCKING GOOD DCM. And it was so f**king obvious.

(I recall Bailey saying we were after some giant tattooed unit from the Bundesliga, who was ready to come but we didnt want to pay his wages, presumably as that would have stopped us signing Rashica and Tzolis....I think he then went on to play champions league for them....hindsight is a wonderful thing but....well...f**k me.)
