We should have won yesterday. Sargent, for once, was off his game. We pressed quite effectively and won the ball in their half numerous times. But, Giannoulis made a mistake which cost us, eventually. Individual errors have caused a significant number of goals against, this season and last. Is that coaching? I guess you could make a case that players shouldn’t be made to play in a way in which they aren’t capable, but in the end they are the ones making decisions on the pitch. As for “turgid, insipid”… well, that’s absurd. Whoever wrote that should look up the definitions of those words, for starters, before using them to try to describe football. As an aside, I watched the game with my French brother in law, who is completely neutral, and he was impressed with our attacking play. I think some people need to remember there are two teams on the pitch and sometimes things don’t go your way.
