Creep, creep, creep……

English football followed the attitude of the Thatcher government ie every man for himself and to hell with the greater good.
The biggest clubs started this by not sharing gate receipts at home league games in the 1980s and then they moved on to forming the Premier Leagueand finally, for now, the Champions (money grabbers) league.
The super (?)league is still bubbling under the surface.
Everyone outside the top division can basically do one.
Blood money, money in general is destroying the game. The game we used to love for its competitiveness.
Some would say, look at the bright shiny new stadia, the wonderful free pitches etc, but that could have happened by a fairer way of sharing the new money around. It appears we come back to the Thatcher ethos, now firmly established in uk society of every man for himself without having any regard for the poorest and most vulnerable in society.
