Interesting listening to the Stick to football podcast this morning

They were discussing the impact a good Sporting director can have on a club. They were bigging up the influence of Dan Ashworth on clubs he has worked for and the work he did behind the scenes for England. They talked about the subtle changes a SD can make on parts of the club like recruitment etc which can have a massive impact.
Lets hope that Knapper is beavering about in the background changing things especially scouting and recruitment. I might be wrong but our results have improved since he took over, is this a coincidence?
One thing is for sure, if he signs CC from Arsenal as our next head coach that will be a bold statement.
