I get the point around making the fans feel more part of the club again and the small things that can be done, but isn’t the biggest disagreement the fans and club have had in recent times (other than the departure of webber) whether or not wagner should be sacked? And really, the booing was because the fans don’t trust wagner’s judgement, which punt alludes to as well.
Even when we’re doing well, there is the feeling among a group of fans (no idea what proportion, but a material one) that it’s in spite of wagner rather than because of him. If that hasn’t already changed, I don’t think it ever will.
Therefore, if supporter / club relations is a priority, the club should sack wagner at the end of the season. But that only works if someone that delivers better, or actually perhaps just the same level of results based on the recent run, is put in his place.
My view is that harmony will only come if the club sacks wagner, and we have good results on the pitch. It needs both of those, not just one.
