I don't think I've ever boo-ed the players

Even in the dark days at the end of the Chase era.

You'd have to be a moron to think it would help.

(thought experiment - imagine you're at work, giving a presentation, or just going about your job, and a customer comes in and starts booing you, or berating you... Would it make you up your game? Or would it make you wonder who they were, and why they thought they knew your job better than you?)
