(I though Rio looked rather good last night btw - admittedly didn't have much defending to do.)

I think we have to face the fact that in the absence of Rooney, our team isn't that good. Good enough to get past the group stage, hopefully, but after that we'll need some big dollops of luck to get much further.

Still might happen. Some pretty average teams (eg Germany last time) have gone quite far in the past....
